I must say it has been a great year despite some major changes in my life. Making my dream a reality has been the best part of this year! The fact that I act on it, was the best part.

Of course the next best thing were the new people I have met along the way. They have act as a great supportive group to me. I appreciate the good fortune (universe has) bestow upon me. Like I always say, I take all the love I can :)

I guess like everything else there's also the downs that happened.. E.g. The fact that Mister P. and I became two separate individuals. Every other downs probably can't compare to this.

But like everything else, this too will fade. ..

Taking a step into my new beautiful year 2012 where more magic takes place!

So many ideas for my new collection :) I'm excited!!

Slapped on a patch thingy like salonpas introduced by the pharmacies, pop a pain relief pill and believed I can tough it out.

It was a ridiculously crippling day for myself as even the car ride to the doctor was killing me (and I find it hard to do any normal daily activities). I'm now forced to REST.

I'm physically and mentally tired but my mind is still running. I was in a rage couple of hours ago and it has just been clouding my mind.

It bothers me how someone can disrespect you so much. ..

After a beer, I guess I came to a conclusion the whole problem started because of my wrong decisions. ..

I have placed my faith in the people I believe makes the right decisions. That was mistake no.1. Next wrong move was to believe people are responsible enough to give a thought about you, knowing it's your name/reputation at stake. The last wrong decision was believing that the people who doesn't belong to my kind, will be of any support.

Now that I'm clear about my mistakes, I'm moving forward.

Came to Taiwan to meet a few uncles and hear about their experiences, woes and concerns. Most importantly, their revelations. Like me, they have a few revelations. It was interesting, they have the same kind of revelations as me but they are in their 50s. One of the uncle actually just went through his 2nd operation from lung cancer but he is as healthy as a bull!

I feel blessed that I am meeting all these kind hearts who love to share their experiences and their lessons to me. He told me how lucky I am, to be exposed to the right thinking at such a tender age while he only realized it now.

I guess there comes a point where if your heart is in the right place, you will eventually come to the right revelation.

It was the year 2008, when I decided I should return to Singapore/Malaysia for 3 years - for work experience before returning to Melbourne to reside. Catching up was the first on the TO-DO List!

The first time I met my best friend's boyfriend (then). I noticed how quiet and attentive he is to V. I was secretly happy for her :). I knew she met the right man.

As they tied the knot on 6/August 2011, I couldn't help but tear with joy as they exchanged their vows in a lovely church setting. I know she's going to be in good hands from hereon.

It's a very sweet feeling the whole crew was able to take the time out to celebrate the island wedding with the lovebirds.

I think everyday I'm learning to be a better and stronger version of myself. During this long journey of learning and searching, the hardest part is learning about myself.

I had a few revelations these days. Some might be lucky to hear about my revelations. I think we are all just trying to learn more about ourselves and further better ourselves. Sad to say, during this learning curve I might still not be my best self forward. I would expect you (not 100% too) to not judge me.

But I guess life is like that. If you shine in one part of your life, you have to shine without flaws.

I'm so glad I managed to make my way out to my cupcakes' event - #Ihavearoomwitheverything (@Day&Night Gallery : 139, Selegie Road). My very shy friend, the talented self taught curator is very humble about the outcome. It was amazing! Since I've got first hand preview before on Thursday, I got there in time to hang with the rest of the crew.

Enjoyed my watery beer and chips while hanging with the creative friends. I realized every time I hang with them, new ideas just keep surfacing. It's amazing. I love it.

Greetings to y'all.. Can't believe we are towards the end of January 2011. Time seems to fly past when you get older. .. or did I value time more when I age? HAHAHA. Either way, I'm whinging about it.

Been preoccupied and stuck in my world for abit. Mentors been telling me how hard they have worked for the past year just to get the results they hoped for...I have so much to do! Luckily my team is working as hard as I do, so I've got no complaints.

It's mid December by now & I'm giddy with JOY. Work has swarmed sky high and I'm fighting against time. I've never felt this kinda adrenaline..it's kinda addictive!!

To me, it's never work so overtime is not exactly work? I love it too much but I can't deny I'm really tired these past few days. Not forgetting my drunk episode on Saturday with the nyomis. HAHA I stilll attended work on Sunday.

I'm really glad to have found my team mates. The team work and chemistry is amazing!!!! We've actually wrapped up spring summer 2011 photoshoot. Can't wait to critic them tomorrow!

For quite some time now, I was slightly shying off my potential. I felt without the proper foundation taught by an art school / the traditional route to a fashion design school, I'm not qualified / good enough. It was further proven a point when I met this lady buyer down at Sydney. She was telling me how by attending fashion school provided her with a large array of network and contacts of artist/suppliers/mentors in the field. I was disheartened. I had (still have) a web of chemical engineers under my phone list. Sadly, my tiny web of fashion network was non existence. Laughs

Thats why the road to success is rocky. You often waver when your confidence gets hit from all different aspects. Positive thinking and the power to focus on the positive can get pretty hard.

By that time i've looked up everywhere reading about other designers trying to make a break or has already made a name for themselves. Its exceptionally inspiring and helps put me back in perspective.

Other than that, I've cultivate my interest in fashion design through self education. Not forgetting, i've made a point to put in the hours to sketch out a concept or inspiration whenever I can. (I find it easier while i watch my drama :) ) When all this doesn't feel like work at all, it's really easy to put in the number of hours.

After a year, I think I've made some progress with my interest & broaden my contact list a tiny winy bit. I've got to admit there's much much more to learn and it's just gonna get tougher. But this time round, I'm brave enough to put my foot in the mud. It feels oddly good to shake off the doubt and get back on track.

I'm all in.

Mabelline gel eyeliner

I got myself this Mabelline gel eyeliner ~2 weeks ago. I'm actually quite happy with it's performance thus far.

The fact that it's cheap is a big plus :)

Pencil eyeliner is too harsh
Liquid eyeliner needs too much effort, no?

So I'm settling for gel eyeliner at the moment.

ESSENSUALS HAIRDRESSING

241 A Victoria Street, Bugis Village

Attended the official opening launch party with my dearest Jam! :) We missed out on the street catwalk thru' Bugis, because I was running late :x. The salon was so crowded with models, press, photographers and different respective personnel that I couldn't hear the tune spinning off by the DJ.
There were some attractions with the live tattoo/hair styling/make up/manicures/shoes within the salon corners - my thoughts were the space is too tight/I'm skinny, and I felt my personal space were invaded. On the whole, it was not too bad -Vodka was running high (SMILES). Can't wait for my next event with Jammy J.

Side note screams! The world is soooo small! I'm friends with the wife of Bryan Teo, the creative director that runs the unique new salon concept! HHAHAA sweet.

Maxi (LOVE) has been created by the engineer in me to essentially provide the wearer easy transition from day to night!

Jeane looks absolutely gorgeous in Maxi (LOVE)! Her v first maxi dress :)~ I'm glad I got the chance to create her first!! This is definitely an encouragement for the struggling ME.

I love this song thru' and thru' :) even after 2.5 years!!

Reminds me of how it was on repeat while I worked on my final year design project - Chemical Engineering! I was dealing with some offshore liquified natural gas, thank you very much. Architecture in Helsinki has made researching and working on my chapters smooth & ppurrr-fect. Life was good. Despite the fact that some might think I've "wasted" my degree, I think otherwise. It was the best 3 years of my life. More training and lessons of perseverance than I ever imagine myself to learn in any other stages of my school years.

Camping in the computer lab with fellow chemical engineering students HAHA it was the most fun I had. I know. Geek alert. I miss it all. I would turn back time and choose engineering all over.

Of course that does not mean I do not wish to take up a few other courses in the art department such as:-
A. Jewelry Making/Designing
B. Fashion Designing

I miss the life I had in Melbourne.

I was in hongkong 2 weeks ago for work. Luckily flight is near. I hate taking plane rides :)
